Paddleboarding on the river wey

Our Stand UP Paddleboarding sessions take place from our base at Godalming Wharf and last 2.5 hours.

We cover all basic skills to get you standing up on our journey which covers around 6-8km. Each session is tailored to your ability, if it’s your first time or your a seasoned pro. All essential equipment is provided just turn up and enjoy the view !

Our whole ethos revolves around fun! The main priority during our sessions is you, we make our sessions bespoke which means each session is different guided by what is engaging you the most!

Our staff team have over 30 years of instructing experience.
We can offer everything from family fun sessions or advanced SUP skills coaching.
Our base at Godalming Wharf is located that just 10 minutes paddle into your session you will be surrounded by countryside and some of the most beautiful views the River Wey has to offer.

What You Get

During your 2.5 hour session our expert instructors will guide you on your journey to learn new skills or improve old ones all whilst experiencing the most glorious stretch of the River Wey.

Use of our Red Paddleboard fleet.
Use of all Buoyancy Aids and Safety Equipment.
Pictures during your session sent to you by What's App at the end of session. You can opt in/out of this at the start of your session.
Free parking at Godalming Wharf for the duration of your session.

Sup Club is Back for 2026

Over the past few years, SUP CLUB @ ROAR has grown into an inspiring community of paddlers who share a love for adventure, exploration, and time on the water. Last season’s single-tier membership offered fantastic value and brought together a vibrant mix of paddlers enjoying guided socials, priority booking, discounts, exclusive updates, and more.

As our community has expanded, so have the ways people want to paddle. Some members want to explore more locations, paddle more frequently, and enjoy a broader calendar of social opportunities. Others prefer a simpler, local, fortnightly option that still gives them the connection and benefits of being part of our club. To make sure all paddlers can choose a membership that truly suits them, we’ve introduced a two-tier structure for 2026.

Introducing GOLD and SILVER Memberships

Our new GOLD and SILVER tiers allow you to select the style and frequency of paddling that matches your lifestyle and goals.

GOLD Membership

Designed for paddlers who want the fullest experience Roar Outdoor has to offer, GOLD gives access to an expanded programme of 20 instructor-guided Friday socials, split between Godalming Wharf and exciting launch spots across Surrey. GOLD members also enjoy additional benefits including priority booking, discounts and more.

For £120pp per year of full membership gives exclusive access to our members paddles throughout Surrey and a number of other benefits. Memberships are open to anyone who owns their own board, can self rescue and has had a lesson/course with Roar Outdoor or another provider.

SILVER Membership

Perfect for those who prefer a local, steady rhythm to their season, SILVER offers 10 fortnightly Friday evening socials from Godalming Wharf. It’s a great way to stay connected, develop skills, and enjoy the water without committing to the full county-wide programme.

For £75pp per year you have exclusive access to our fortnightly paddles at Godalming Wharf and a number of other benefits. Memberships are open to anyone who owns their own board (or you can hire at £75 for the season), can self rescue and has had a lesson/course with Roar Outdoor or another provider.
